Revised December 2011 9B (revised) III2 9 · C3a (Far Date, Clashed Obverse n & st, Reverse M) ( ? ) Obverse III2 9– Clashed die with partial incuse n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty's neck and partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Just top of left side of n shows which is further left than VAM-9A. Later clashed die state than VAM 9C with double clash lines at neck. Reverse C3a– Clashed die with raised designer’s initial M from obverse showing above d of God. M is further left than VAM 9A. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # LDS specimens have obverse radial die cracks from rim to wheat stalks and second LS3 to rim. # Clashed die with raised designer’s initial M from obverse showing above d of God. M is further left than 1885-P VAM-9A. # Same exact die pairing as 1885-P VAM-9C, but 1885-P VAM-9B is the Later Die State and double clashed. 1885 P VAM-9D3 is the exact pairing with no clashing or light single clash with no transfer. # Vamhusker's submittal to LVA IN 2012 showed 1885-P VAM-9B and 1885-P VAM-9C are the same dies with same markers, the only difference is 1885-P VAM-9B is double clashed with a M on reverse and 1885-P VAM-9C is single clashed with no M.
