This coin is a Super CD Morgan Vam. 9A III29 · C3a (Far Date, Clashed Obverse n, st, Reverse M) (188) Obverse III29– Clashed die with partial incuse n of In from reverse next to Liberty head neck and partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Reverse C3a– Clashed die with faint raised designer’s initial M from obverse showing above d in God. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Very difficult to find; only 14 are known and 9 of them are in the registry as of 6/2013. # Easily confused with [[1885-P VAM-4A, However the [[1885-P VAM-9A has a lower date and basiclly the same lateral position and no gouge by LS7 like the [[1885-P VAM-4. # This exact C3a reverse has a baby gouge to the left of the wreath bow Which is only found on [[1885-P VAM-9A and the un-clashed [[1885 P VAM-9D1. # The [[1885-P VAM-9.1 & the [[1885-P VAM-9A are the exact same die pair so you can refer to the [[1885-P VAM-9.1 page for more detailed photos.
