=1878-P VAM-14.12A= Discovery June 2017 78-SLongNock 14-12A I1 12 · A1c (Doubled Date, Radial Die Breaks Stars) (189?) Obverse I1 12– EDS PL specimens show two significant radial die crack at 3rd right star & between 3 & 4 left stars that have displaced field breaks that likely led to very early die retire making die comb rare. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Thin spike below eyelid. Slightly doubled date. 1 doubled below upper crossbar, first 8 doubled at top inside of both loops and bottom left outside of upper loop, 7 doubled below crossbar and right side of vertical shaft, second 8 doubled at top inside and bottom left outside of upper loop.
