The copper companion to J-1240, this half eagle pattern renders the Liberty Head $5 design in warm ungilded base metal. At the half eagle's intermediate diameter, the copper composition provides a beautiful medium for the detailed Liberty Head portrait and the heraldic eagle, creating one of the more visually appealing copper gold-denomination patterns in the Trade Dollar era program.
