Description
Around 1828, London coin dealer Matthew Young obtained two pairs of original dies and restruck several pieces in tin. Restrikes are identifiable by a distinctive die crack in the right obverse field. Three die marriages are known: Newman 4-D, 4-E, and 5-D.
Rarity Notes
R.4+ to R.8 depending on die marriage. Newman 5-D most available; Newman 4-D extremely rare.
