This 1792-dated cent pattern carries the catalog designation J-C1792-2 in Judd's United States Pattern Coins. It is not a Mint product: uspatterns.com describes the J-C1792 pieces as pieces Montroville Dickeson struck in the early 1860s using embossing dies rejected for revenue paper, showing an eagle on a rock, with a reverse he had made. J-C1792-2 is the white metal version, with two or three known; the copper version is J-C1792-1.
