Description
A 1787 Nova Eborac copper with a large head bust on the obverse. NOVA EBORAC is Latin for New York (Eboracum being the Roman name for York). The reverse shows a seated figure of Liberty. The large head variety uses a noticeably bigger portrait punch than the small head type.
