Description

The struck version of the Florida Proclamation piece, produced to celebrate the accession of Charles III to the Spanish throne. Commissioned by Juan Estevan de Pena, the royal treasurer of Spanish Florida. The obverse features an armored bust of Charles III and the reverse depicts a rose in full bloom. Most unique — the only struck example confirmed.

Rarity Notes

Unique. One of the greatest rarities in all of American colonial numismatics.
