1994-1996 Memorial Cent Doubled Eyelid - 1994 (reference), 3x 1995 P, 1995 D, 3x 1996 P - Possible MHDO?
Doubled Die ObverseHello experts,
I would like to ask for discussion about the possibility of MHDO (Master Hub Doubled Obverse) on Memorial Cents 1994-1996.
Coins observed:
- 1994 Memorial Cent - doubled eyelid (not my coin, reference image from web for comparison)
- 1995 P Memorial Cent - 3 examples with identical doubled eyelid
- 1995 D Memorial Cent - 1 example with identical doubled eyelid
- 1996 P Memorial Cent - 3 examples with identical doubled eyelid
All 7 of my coins plus the 1994 reference show the exact same doubled eyelid in the same position and same shape, across 2 mints (P and D) and across 3 years (1994-1996).
Error Type: Doubled Eyelid / Extra Eyelid
My question: Since the identical doubling appears on multiple working dies, in two different mints and over 3 years, could this be Master Hub Doubling? A single working die cannot explain P and D mint at the same time.
I have photos of all coins under microscope and can post them.
Thank you for your opinions and for discussing the possibility of MHDO.
Best regards,
Zeljko

1/5: 1994 Memorial Cent (not my coin, reference image from web) - doubled eyelid / extra eyelid - same position as my coins - for comparison. 2/5: 1995 P Memorial Cent - my coin #1 - identical doubled eyelid. 3/5: 1995 P Memorial Cent - my coin #2 - identical doubled eyelid, different working die but same doubling. 4/5: 1995 P Memorial Cent - my coin #3 - identical doubled eyelid. 5/5: 1995 D Memorial Cent - my coin - Denver mint - identical doubled eyelid - proves cross-mint doubling (P & D). All 5 coins show identical extra eyelid line. Possible MHDO 1994-1996. Photos under microscope, same lighting.
