About This Coin
The 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter (Best of the Mint 2026) is a United States quarter from the Best of the Mint 2026 series — the final year of the series. In 1916, coins were struck at the West Point Mint. The obverse features Liberty standing in a gateway between two walls, holding an olive branch and a shield and the reverse displays an eagle in flight. Only 52,000 struck — the key date and one of the most desirable 20th-century U.S. coins. Designed by Hermon Atkins MacNeil.
