This undated Civil War era token, cataloged as Fuld 60W-2b, is a second brass die variety of the Mount Vernon Club token from Maryland. This variety uses a different reverse die combination than the Fuld 60W-1b version (PCGS #629285), though both share the Mount Vernon Club obverse die. Die varieties are central to Civil War token collecting, as the practice of combining different obverse and reverse dies created numerous distinct types from a limited number of individual dies.
