About This Coin
The Manila Mint opened on July 6, 1920 in the Intendencia, the building of the old Spanish mint, and its first product was a medal with the bust of President Woodrow Wilson, known as the Wilson dollar. George T. Morgan cut the dies. The mint's records give 2,200 medals in silver, 3,700 in copper and 5 in gold.
