Description

The 2026 (W) American Palladium Eagle is a burnished platinum coin struck at the West Point Mint, part of the American Palladium Eagles 2017 to Date series. The obverse features young Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, symbolizing freedom of thought — often called the "Mercury" dime despite not depicting the Roman god — Adolph Weinman's Mercury Dime design adapted for the palladium program, while the reverse displays an eagle with wings raised, grasping an olive branch, adapted from Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects medal. Designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman (original designs adapted). The American Palladium Eagle, introduced in 2017, is the newest U.S. Limited annual production creates strong collector demand. The 2018 was struck only in proof, the 2019 in reverse proof, creating variety for set builders.
