Description
The 2026 (S) Proof Declaration of Independence Quarter - Silver is a proof quarter struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Semiquincentennial Circulating Coins 2026 series. The obverse features Thomas Jefferson, principal author of the Declaration of Independence and one of the most influential founding fathers, while the reverse displays the Liberty Bell, perhaps the most iconic symbol of American independence, whose inscription "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land" has resonated with generations seeking justice and equality. As a proof issue, this coin was struck multiple times on specially prepared polished planchets using polished dies, producing mirror-like fields and frosted design elements prized by collectors.
