Description

The 2025 (W) Reverse Proof Palladium Twenty Five Dollar is a reverse proof palladium coin struck at the West Point Mint, part of the American Palladium Eagles 2017 to Date series. The Mint sold 3,991 reverse proofs dated 2025. The obverse features young Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, symbolizing freedom of thought — often called the "Mercury" dime despite not depicting the Roman god — Adolph Weinman's Mercury Dime design adapted for the palladium program and the reverse displays an eagle with wings raised, holding a branch, adapted from Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects medal. As a reverse proof, it has frosted fields and mirror-like design elements, the opposite of a standard proof. Struck in 99.95% palladium, weighing 31.12 grams, 34.03 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
