2024 (D) Lincoln Shield Cent - SKH-1c-2024D-01 Spiked Head
Error
Description
SKH-1c-2024D-01 is a spiked head for the 2024 Denver Mint Lincoln Shield Cent. Someone obtained a 2024-D cent fresh from circulation or a roll, noticed the telltale raised spike extending from Lincoln's head, and submitted the discovery to Cuds on Coins. The 2024-D cent is among the newest coins in the American monetary system, struck at Denver on copper-plated zinc planchets with the D mintmark below the date. Bass's Shield reverse was in its fifteenth year of production, while Brenner's obverse portrait reached its 115th anniversary.
