Description
The 2023 (W) Uncirculated Palladium Twenty Five Dollar is an uncirculated palladium coin struck at the West Point Mint, part of the American Palladium Eagles 2017 to Date series. The obverse features young Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, symbolizing freedom of thought — often called the "Mercury" dime despite not depicting the Roman god — Adolph Weinman's Mercury Dime design adapted for the palladium program, while the reverse displays an eagle with wings raised, holding a branch, adapted from Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects medal. Designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman. Struck in 99.95% palladium, weighing 31.12 grams, 34.03 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #924187. The American Palladium Eagle was introduced in 2017. The 2018 coins were issued only as proofs and the 2019 coins only as reverse proofs.
