The 2023 American Eagle One Hundred Dollar Platinum is a United States platinum coin from the American Eagle One Hundred Dollar Platinum 1997 to Date series. In 2023 the Mint sold 12,700 bullion coins; sales of the proof struck at West Point are not final. The bullion coin shows the Statue of Liberty and an eagle soaring over the sunrise; the proof has a mature oak branch with acorns inside the inscription WITH FREEDOM OF THE PRESS LIBERTY BEARS FRUIT on the obverse and an eagle in flight with an olive branch in its talons on the reverse. Struck in 99.95% platinum, weighing 31.12 grams, 32.7 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by John M. Mercanti and Thomas D. Rogers Sr. (bullion), with the proof by Donna Weaver (obverse) and Patricia Lucas-Morris (reverse).
