Description
The 2021 (D) Morgan Dollar 100th Anniversary Dollar is a dollar produced at the Denver Mint as part of the 1921 Silver Dollar Anniversary Coins (2021 to Date) series. With a mintage of 175,000, this is an extremely rare issue — ranked 2nd of 5 mint variants by mintage, with 20% of production. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with wheat and cotton, encircled by stars and the reverse displays an eagle with outstretched wings clutching an olive branch and arrows, surrounded by a wreath. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. Struck at the Denver Mint, established in 1906 from an earlier assay office that processed Colorado gold rush metal. Estimated market value ranges from $1 to $261 depending on grade and condition. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.69 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #877711.
