Description
The 2020 (W) Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park V75 Quarter is a quarter produced at the West Point Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The U.S. Mint produced 2 million examples, making this the lowest mintage among 20 mint variants, representing only 5% of total production. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts a young girl planting a Norway spruce seedling near an established tree. Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller is the only national park focused on the history and evolution of conservation stewardship in America. National Park of American Samoa (AS), Weir Farm (CT), Salt River Bay (VI), Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller (VT), and Tallgrass Prairie (KS) were featured. The final full year of the program, with pandemic-related production adjustments. Struck at the West Point Mint, originally a bullion depository that became a full coin production facility, specializing in commemorative and bullion issues. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $30 depending on grade and condition. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, weighing 5.67 grams, 24.3 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #813462.
