Description
The 2020 (W) Uncirculated Palladium Twenty Five Dollar is an uncirculated palladium coin minted at the West Point Mint, within the American Palladium Eagles 2017 to Date series. The Mint sold 9,746 uncirculated coins dated 2020. The obverse features young Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, symbolizing freedom of thought — often called the "Mercury" dime despite not depicting the Roman god — Adolph Weinman's Mercury Dime design adapted for the palladium program and the reverse displays an eagle with wings raised, holding a branch, adapted from Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects medal. Struck in 99.95% palladium, weighing 31.12 grams, 34.03 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
