2019 (P) American Memorial Park Quarter - CU-25c-2019P-01(MI) Rim Cud

Description

Found on the American Memorial National Park quarter from the America the Beautiful series, this rim cud error records the loss of part of the die's rim gutter, which appears on the coin as a raised interruption in the design rim that tracks the rim's course. The American Memorial Park design commemorates the site in the Northern Mariana Islands honoring those who served in the Mariana Islands campaign during World War II. This variety was documented on 09/30/2019. Collectors examining 2019-P American Memorial quarters should check the design rim for the characteristic raised interruption that identifies this cud variety. The single-year nature of each America the Beautiful design limits the production window for any given die error, making documented cuds on specific park designs noteworthy finds.
