Description

The 2014 (D) Presidential Dollar - Franklin D. Roosevelt, Position B is a dollar from the Denver Mint, belonging to the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 3.8 million examples, making this the lowest mintage among 16 mint variants, representing only 5% of total production. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. The thirty-second President (1933–1945), Franklin D. Roosevelt is the only president elected to four terms, leading the nation through the Great Depression with his New Deal programs and through most of World War II. Already honored on the dime since 1946, his Presidential Dollar adds to his extensive numismatic legacy. Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, and Franklin D. Roosevelt were released. The FDR dollar is particularly collected alongside the Roosevelt Dime for a complete Roosevelt numismatic set. Coined at Denver's facility, which transitioned from processing Colorado gold rush metal to full-scale coin production in 1906.
