About This Coin
The 2010 Boy Scouts of America Centennial Commemorative Dollar is a United States dollar from the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. In 2010, the Philadelphia Mint struck 349,983 of these dollars, uncirculated and proof together, by the Mint's figures. The obverse shows a Cub Scout with an older Scout and a Venturer saluting and the reverse the Boy Scouts emblem. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by Donna Weaver/Jim Licaretz.
