The 2009 (S) Proof Lincoln Cent - Formative Years is a proof cent struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Lincoln Bicentennial Cents 2009 series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right and the reverse shows young Lincoln reading during a break from rail splitting, the Formative Years in Indiana design, one of four reverses issued in 2009 for the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth.
