Description
The 2007 (W) Abigail Adams First Spouse Ten Dollar Gold is a dollar produced at the West Point Mint as part of the First Spouse Gold 2007 to Date series. With a mintage of 17,142, this is a scarce issue. The obverse features a portrait of the presidential spouse (or a representation of Liberty for unmarried presidents), while the reverse displays a scene from the life of the featured spouse. Designed by Joseph Menna/Thomas Cleveland. Struck in 99.99% gold, weighing 15.55 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #150888. The First Spouse Gold Coin series (2007-present) was created to accompany the Presidential Dollar program, honoring the spouses of U.S. Low mintages and high gold content make these coins both collectible and intrinsically valuable.
