The 2007 (P) Proof Jamestown Dollar is a proof dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The Philadelphia Mint struck 258,802 proof Jamestown 400th Anniversary dollars dated 2007. The obverse shows three faces for the three cultures that met at Jamestown and the reverse the settlers' ships Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. As a proof issue, this coin was struck multiple times on specially prepared polished planchets using polished dies, producing mirror-like fields and frosted design elements. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #147440.
