Description

The 2007 (P) Jamestown Dollar is a commemorative dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The Philadelphia Mint struck 79,801 uncirculated Jamestown 400th Anniversary dollars dated 2007. Authorized to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607 — the first permanent English settlement in North America. The obverse features three faces representing the three cultures that converged at Jamestown, while the reverse displays the three ships Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery that carried the settlers to Virginia. Designed by Donna Weaver/Susan Gamble. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #147439.
