The 2001 (P) Jefferson Nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, is part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 collection. The Philadelphia Mint struck 675,704,000 nickels dated 2001. The obverse features Thomas Jefferson facing left and the reverse displays Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's Virginia estate. Both mints active with typical mintages. The Philadelphia Mint, America's oldest coin-making facility, has struck coins continuously since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0.05 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
