Description
The 1999 Wide AM Lincoln Cent is a transitional variety where the reverse die intended for proof production was mistakenly used for business strikes. On the Wide AM variety, the letters A and M in AMERICA are clearly separated, which is the proof reverse design. On normal 1999 business strikes, the A and M are close together (Close AM).
