Description
The 1995 (P) Proof Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games Track & Field Dollar is a proof cent struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The Philadelphia Mint struck 143,304 proof Atlanta Olympic Track and Field dollars dated 1995. The obverse shows runners and the reverse clasped hands, shared by the four 1995 Olympic dollars. As a proof issue, this coin was struck multiple times on specially prepared polished planchets using polished dies, producing mirror-like fields and frosted design elements. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9721.
