Description
The 1976 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-2163 is a Bicentennial Eisenhower dollar, a proof on 40% silver clad stock that lacks the S mintmark. Its reverse is Type I: the first U of UNUM sits directly below the first U of PLURIBUS. Several such proofs without the S were issued in sets with the quarter J-2161 and half dollar J-2162, and Pollock writes that President Gerald Ford and his appointments secretary received sets; USPatterns.com does not know whether any survive. NGC lists it as 1976 J-2163 $1 PF.
