The 1945 Cent Patterns is a United States cent from the Modern Patterns (1943 to Date) series — the second year of the series. The obverse features various experimental designs for proposed coinage changes and the reverse displays various experimental designs. Produced during World War II, when the Mint altered coin compositions to conserve strategic metals for the war effort. Designed by Various U.S. Mint designers.
