Description
The 1944 (D) Philippine Ten Centavos is a ten centavos coin minted at the Denver Mint, within the Philippines Ten Centavos 1903-1945 series. From 1937 the ten centavos carried the arms of the Commonwealth of the Philippines on the reverse, on the same 2 grams of .750 silver. The Manila Mint struck the coins of 1937, 1938 and 1941 with an M; with Manila occupied, the Denver Mint struck the 1944 and 1945 coins, the first Philippine coins with a D mint mark. The Director of the Mint's report lists 31,592,000 pieces struck for the Philippines in calendar year 1944. PCGS number 90282.
