Part of the Standing Liberty Quarters 1916-1930 series, the 1921 Standing Liberty Quarter is a quarter from the Philadelphia Mint. With a mintage of 1.9 million, this is a scarce issue. The obverse features Liberty standing in a gateway between two walls, holding an olive branch and a shield and the reverse displays an eagle in flight. Minted during and after World War I, as America emerged as a global power and experienced the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties.
