The net mintage of Alabama Centennial half dollars dated 1921 was 65,044, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, each authorized by an individual act of Congress and the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Minted during and after World War I, as America emerged as a global power and experienced the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 12.5 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by Laura Gardin Fraser.
