1903-P VAM-13 Doubled 19, Profile, Gouge at Wreath Discovery 2014 Revised March 2025 13 III2 10 - C4n (Doubled 19, Profile, Gouge at Wreath) (189) Obverse III2 10 - Slightly doubled 1 below base on right side and 9 on right outside. Slightly doubled profile at lower hair front above forehead and in middle of nose. Earliest die stages show heavy polishing on entire obverse field. Die marker - Single short polishing line in hair gap above 03. Reverse C4n - Slight doubling on bottoms of TED in UNITED. Vertical gouge in field at inside of wreath opposite UN in UNITED. Earliest die stages show heavy polishing on entire reverse. Eagle's right wing overpolished with patch of polishing lines in middle of wing where outer and middle feathers meet. DPIS - LE3/RE4 Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: March 2025 revision swaps specifications of VAMs 13 and 13A, since the heavy polishing and gouge at wreath are the early die stage.
