1898-S VAM-6 Near Doubled Date, S/S Down Discovered by Pete Bishal, November 1974. 6 III2 4 - C3e (Near Doubled Date, S/S Down) (187) Obverse III2 4 - 1 slightly doubled below upper crossbar. 898 are doubled at top inside of upper loops. Closed 9. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C3e - Mint mark doubled down with original showing as a curved line in center of upper loop, slanting line below center and curved line below lower loop.
