1898-P VAM-1A Open 9, Die Break Wing-S Discovery 2010 by Pat Mullen 1A III2 1- C3a (Open 9, Die Break Wing-S) (190) Obverse III2 1 – Die crack at top of ED over thru wing tip to first S in STATES and up to denticles above T with displaced field break between wing tip and S. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: 1A, 1B Reverse: Comments: The exact same obverse die produced the 1898-P VAM-1A & 1898-P VAM-1B. They do not share a reverse die. The 1898-P VAM-1 is the exact same die pair as the 1898-P VAM-1A. One is cracked and one is not.
