1897-S VAM-20 Die scratch Olive Branch Discovery June 2014, Brent Fogelberg Renumbered from VAM 1C to VAM 20 July 2022, Roger Bradshaw III2 10 - C3g (Doubled 18, Inverted S, Die scratch Olive Branch) (?) Obverse III2 10 - Date at left side of normal position. 1 doubled slightly on right where vertical shaft meets base. 8 doubled slightly at lower left inside of both loops. Later die stage shows two horizontal die cracks across Liberty's neck and lower hair. Reverse C3g - Earlier die stage with vertical gouge from talon on eagle's right foot to top of arrow feather. DPIS - LH3/RH4 Emission Sequence Obverse: 20,8 Reverse: Comments: Shares obverse die with 1897-S VAM-8 Same reverse die as 1897-S VAM-19, but earlier die stage
