1896 Typical Die Clash TDC-100C-1896-01

Description

TDC-100c-1896-01 This is a dual clash that occurred on a 1896 Morgan dollar minted in Philadelphia. The first picture to the left shows the two clash events with a pair of vertical lines, closely spaced that were left by the field and Liberty’s throat. The next picture to the left shows the clash mark left by Liberty’s upper lip and the under part of her nose. The next picture shows the dual lines produced by the bridge of Liberty’s nose. The only obverse clash mark is seen under Liberty’s chin ad is produced by the  top part of the eagle’s right wing. The only identifier in this particular clash is the date, which is considered to be a near date.
