Description

The 1893 Isabella Quarter is a quarter produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) series. With a mintage of 24,214, this is a scarce issue. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, each authorized by an individual act of Congress, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Charles E. Barber. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 6.25 grams, 24.3 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9220. Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) were half dollars and occasional other denominations struck to honor people, places, and events in American history.
