'''DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: '''Comments: # At the 2004 ANA Show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the [[1891-O VAM-1B was discussed at the SSDC meeting. It recently has begun getting surprising large premiums for a pitted reverse. # Specimens seen are typically XF or AU, as below VF coin wear has removed the pitting making attribution impossible. Although no die states have been catalogued, there seems to be at least two stages of pitting, "light" and "heavy". Demand more when selling "heavy" specimens. Possible die gouge in the 'N' of 'ONE' covered up by the pitting above it. # Approximately 40 specimens are known, the finest being a single MS-61 example (1/12/2023).
