1890-S VAM-11B Near Date, Die Break T, Over Polished Wing Feathers Discovered 11/2017 by John Higginbotham (tmanhg) Renumbered from VAM 1N, September 2023 11B III2 4 • C3a (Near Date, Die Break T, Over Polished Wing Feathers) (?) Obverse III2 4 - Date left of normal lateral position. Die marker - horizontal die polishing lines in wheat-cotton leaf gap, chip just in front of ear below hair line. Reverse C3a - Light die file lines in fields w/ heaver lines at UNITED that has die crack at top. Two radial die cracks from rim at right side of T in UNITED w/ slight displaced field break plus die chips at top of T. Some over polished feathers in eagle's wings. Break at T likely led to early die replacement for VAM-1F die combo. DPIS - B23/RH4 Emission Sequence Obverse: 11B, 11A Reverse: Comments: Shares the exact same obverse with VAM 11A.
