Morgan VAM. 10 III2 6 • C3p (Near Date, "Comet" Die Gouges at Date, Gouge Reverse at O) (181) Obverse III2 6 - Date set further left than normal. Wide, striated die gouge diagonally from 0 in date down to the right into the denticles. Second die gouge from denticles below first right star. Reverse C3p - O mint mark set slightly high. Shallow, vertical die gouge above O in ONE. Die Marker - Lines in wing-neck gap. DPIS - RE2/LH4 '''Comments: # The [[1890-O VAM-10 Comet gets its name from the comet tail-like die gouge on the obverse to the right of the date. # The [[1890-O VAM-10A is the LDS of the VAM-10 and shows a heavily worn comet with no separation of lines within left gouge.
