=1885-O VAM-18 Doubled 18 Top & Ear, Far Date= Discovered by Larry Briggs, April 2002. Revised 2011. 18(revised) III2 13 · C3a (Doubled 18 Top & Ear, Far Date) (176) Obverse III2 13 – Slightly doubled 1 at very top and left 8 outside of upper loop. Slightly doubled ear at right inside with two tiny die chips just below inner ear fill as a die marker. Date set further right than normal. ''Die marker'' - Faint vertical polishing line below left end of cap ribbon. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Two small dots inside ear. # Small die chip near top inside of eagle's right leg. # This is one of those VAMs where the doubled ear is remarkably transitory (it is NOT always there).
