Judd-437, Pollock-508, is the fourth 1865 proof dollar motto pattern. This variety approaches the final adopted configuration for the With Motto dollar. The penultimate dollar patterns from 1865 represent designs that are very close to the version that would enter production the following year, with only minor details distinguishing them from the adopted reverse. Struck in silver with proof finish for optimal design evaluation.
