Description
Judd-422, Pollock-495, is the second and final 1865 proof dime With Motto pattern. This piece represents the last dime pattern produced before the adopted design entered production in 1866. The cumulative dime motto program across 1863-1865 was the most extensive for any single denomination, with approximately thirty-five distinct varieties when compositional variants are included. This final variety embodies the culmination of that remarkable three-year effort. Struck in silver with proof finish.
