Description
The 1852 Liberty Gold Dollar is a Gold Dollar from the Philadelphia Mint, belonging to the Liberty Head Gold Dollars 1849-1854 series. The Philadelphia Mint struck 2,045,351 gold dollars dated 1852. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, encircled by thirteen stars, and the reverse displays a wreath enclosing the denomination 1 DOLLAR and the date. Strong production across multiple mints driven by California Gold Rush bullion. Struck in 90% gold, 10% copper, weighing 1.672 grams, 13 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #7517.
