The 1810 Draped Bust to Left Half Eagle is a United States Gold Half Eagle from the Draped Bust to Left Half Eagles 1807-1812 series — 4th of 6 years in the series. In 1810, coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a combined mintage of 401,148. This represents the highest annual mintage in the entire series, above the series median of 84,622. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a mob cap or turban with a larger, draped bust and the reverse displays a heraldic eagle with shield on breast, olive branch and arrows in talons, with a banner reading E PLURIBUS UNUM. Small Date and Large Date varieties exist. One of the more available dates in the series. Struck in 91.7% gold, 8.3% copper, weighing 8.75 grams, 25 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Across its variants, estimated values range from $4.8K to $35K depending on mint mark, grade, and strike type. A notable auction result reached $173K in MS66 grade at Heritage Auctions.
